Women Will Always Rise

I don't know if it only exists in Turkey, but some people believe that if a woman drinks alcohol, laughs in public, has sex with a man, she deserved to be raped. This nonlogical belief comes from the idea of this: if a woman had sex with a man, she can have sex with me. Actually, this belief is very common in patriotic societies. Most of the times, women are seen as objects that satisfy men in patriotic societies.

This might be because of the traditional beliefs and religious norms -which are still not convincing fact to justify rape, anyway. I live in Turkey, thus I will examine my opinions within this perspective.

Feminism (fem·i·nism): the advocacy of women's rights on the basis of the equality of the sexes.

In the past, women had no rights. They had to fight to get them. Men were the dominant sex on the planet. But this has changed. Developed Countries are the ones that closest to achieve gender equality. However, developing and underdeveloped countries still struggle.  The patriotic system in these countries takes women down, traps them at home, categorized them as a sex object.

Women were nothing but a slave that has only one purpose: to satisfy their men. Well, I have some bad news. This is going to change.

Some people tend to accuse victims by saying that "if she was so innocent, what was she doing at that place in the night?", well... it's her life, it's her choices, so, she can do whatever she wants! And we are here to change this disgusting patriotic mindset.

Women should know their place. Their place is EVERYWHERE.
