What Is The Best Way For Traveling? By Yourself or With A Group?

Some people believe that traveling in a group led by a tour guide is the best way to travel because they believe, the tour guide does not only know the best places in the city, but also the historical background of the places. However, I don’t think traveling in a group led by a tour guide is the best way to travel. On the contrary, in my opinion, traveling by yourself or with your friends is the best way for many aspects.

The first point I’d like to make is that traveling with a group limits the places you can go. It’s hard to manage people. Thus, an ordinary tour only visits the most popular places within the city.  Moreover, a group includes people from different background and age. The more people are included the more difficult it gets to manage people. For example, I visited Italy with a group, and some people got lost. This was not only made us scared but costs a lot of time to us. Thus, we couldn’t visit some historical places on that day.

Secondly, guides, indeed, know the historical background of the places. But, as the technology develops, the online sources have increased. Besides, map applications prevent you from getting lost. All above this, thanks to new applications, one can travel without getting lost, and learn all the information s/he is curious about. For instance, I decided to go to London with a friend. We walked down all the city together and went all the places we wanted to go. We didn’t get lost. Furthermore, the fact that I visited more places than an average person who visits the city with a tour guide makes me happy.

The last point I’d like to make is that the best memories & adventures are created when you are not a part of a scheduled group tour. I believe, traveling is a great way to make some unforgettable stories. Therefore, I love traveling by myself rather than a group. Thus, I can be the captain of my journey. For instance, the interrail adventure I did is the most unforgettable journey I’ve ever had. Visiting all the European cities without a tour guide helps us to learn more about their culture & cities. Because there was no one to limit us.

In conclusion, traveling without a group led by a tour guide is the best way to travel for many aspects. With the new applications, one can travel across the country without getting lost. Moreover, traveling without a group increases the number of places you can go, and thereby you can determine your journey schedule by yourself. These are things that make a travel unforgettable. Thus, I believe that people should get out of their comfort zones, and stop putting their faith in a guide, and start exploring the cities & countries by themselves.
